This premium two-piece computer speaker system is also the smallest from Bose, yet it delivers sound well beyond its size. Bose Computer MusicMonitor is recommended if your laptop or PC is a prime source of entertainment, you're particular about audio quality and you want an elegant yet unobtrusive system. This unexpected sound quality results from the latest in Bose amplifier technology, combined with highly efficient neodymium speakers and Bose digital signal processing. The system's proprietary amplifiers are smaller, lighter and more efficient than traditional linear amplifiers to help keep speakers small--yet powerful. Active electronic equalization balances low, mid and high frequencies for more natural tone and clarity. Acoustic design features dual internal opposing passive radiators for unusually deep, powerful low tones from a very small multimedia speaker system.

It is spooky how good these sound. My other computer is connected to more than 20k worth of McIntosh and Magneplanar equipment, so believe me when I say that I am truly picky about audio quality. And I'm not generally a fan of the Bose sound, which tends to be balanced but muddy and missing frequencies that are important to me. But I make absolutely no apologies for the sound of these speakers here. Although tiny and unprepossessing, they sound good. Really good! Really, really good, at least at the low to medium levels that I listen to anything while working on my computer from about a foot away. There is no separate sub, and no need for one. I suspect that the spell would be broken if you tried to make them fill a large room with sound, but that's not what they're for. At low levels and nearfield distances they are magical.
Did I mention that they are self-powered and much smaller than my old favorites, the a/d/s L200s? They're really quite tiny. And wonderful.

I bought the music monitors to use with the laptop that keep in my kitchen. Previously I had used the companion 3 system but chose to move it to my home office because the subwoofer was too bulky for my counter top and wanted to reduce the clutter caused by cables.
The music monitors provide excellent sound for my kitchen, I really enjoy the bose headphones and computer speakers, but don't use bose speakers in my hi-fi or home theater rooms.
These speakers fill the space with good sound but I do miss the deeper bass provided by the companion 3's. Overall, they fill my need for this applicaton, as I expected they would. If space is not a concern for you and you want the best sounding speakers (full range) for less money, I would recommend the companion 3 any day. I have companion 3's installed in both my offices at work and at home.
Overall, very satisfied with this purchase, the remote control is also a nice plus.

These small computer speakers are worth their high price because they are accurate sound reproducers of many types of music and are very portable. Base response is adequate, about the same as the small Bose Wave/CD player. Accuracy of music reproduction is not quite as good as the Wave/CD player, but of course stereo separation is much better. Neither of these systems is suitable for all music; Beethoven's 9th will sound much better on larger systems, as will explosions and space shuttle liftoffs. But for instrumental ensembles, opera selections, folk music, pop standards, etc., these speakers are fine.
One warning; when I got these speakers home, they did not perform as well as they did in the Bose store. What I found was that the Windows Media player did not give good results, but Nero Media player did. So software matters.

Best of all, you can control the music from the speakers with the wireless remote. The ALT-SA34R socket speaker package makes you can do it all. These speakers plug directly into your electrical outlets and let you stream your favorite tunes from compatible S-AIRTM digital wireless transmitters, while the included remote lets you control your music from the source or directly from the speakers themselves.
The sound that comes out of these small speakers is amazing and the system works well within its range of 50-60 ft range but beyond that sounds drops interrupting the songs. The speakers sound clear but get a bit distorted when pushed to max volume, which isn't that loud, and there is almost no bass. They are really easy to use and sound good at moderate volumes. One more thing is a very limited wattage out of the wireless speakers. The transmitter and receiver combo is a great wireless audio solution for any house or apartment that isn't already pre-wired for a whole house speaker system. Very easy and quick set up once you figure everything out. Audio quality is very good, obviously not perfect and not as clear or crisp as if it were hard-wired, but it is a great way to get a huge song library from your computer to the rest of your house, where have much better speakers.

Creative labs has certainly got the design of these speakers bang on. Just observe at its curvaceous look and the sleek, glossy black front panels. The GigaWorks T20 Series II 2.0 Speaker comes with cloth front grilles, but, as these are detachable, you don't have to use them and there's a certain charm to the look of the set when the grilles are left off. The two-way speaker design, with BasXPort™ technology delivers excellent full range audio with rich extended bass, without a bulky subwoofer. Acoustically engineered to enhance the low end, this technology efficiently channels sound waves from the inner chamber to the soundstage. T20 Series II PC speaker set is aimed at those want a simple stereo set-up for listening to music and other day-to-day audio functions, rather than a complicated 7.1 kit for gaming surround sound.
The controls are all housed on the front of the right speaker, with the volume control doubling as the on/off switch. When the speakers are on, this control is circled by a cool-looking blue light that manages not to be too distracting when placed beside your monitor. Next to the volume control is another pair of dials for controlling bass and treble levels, and, under these, are a headphone output socket and an auxiliary input for hooking up external devices such as MP3 players or other gadgets.
Despite their relatively small size, the speakers pack a potent sonic punch. They feature integrated woofers, with BasXPort technology, so it's not surprising that they manage to cook up a very healthy helping of bottom end, but the high-frequency drivers also kick out lively amounts of treble too.
With $134.96 you can bring this 2.0 system speaker home.

Logitech as the maker of peripheral and its accessory has announced a new stereo speaker system plus subwoofer with THX-Certified, Logitech Z623. This speaker is a 2.1-channel system equipped with a 200-watt amplifier that delivers 35 watts to each of the satellite speakers and 130 watts to the sub. The satellites have a single driver each--a 2.5-inch dome with an aluminum phase plug--while the subwoofer utilizes a seven-inch pressure driver with a bass port in its cabinet. As is typical in this category, the satellites have hard-wired cables that plug into the sub, where the amp is located.
The subwoofer is huge, and provides a nice, rich, bass sound. We will amazed at the loudness and clarity of the bass. The speakers may seem little, but they produce a big and rich sound, with very little vibration or feedback. The overall sound quality and clarity is impressive. When you listened to your favorite songs, you will hear sounds and instruments you never heard before.
This Swiss public company offers plenty of analog inputs: The subwoofer cabinet has both stereo RCA inputs and a stereo 1/8-inch jack, and there’s a second stereo 1/8-inch jack on the right-hand speaker cabinet. The power switch, knobs for volume and bass level control, and a 1/8-inch stereo headphone jack are also on this cabinet.
Logitech also says it worked closely with THX to engineer the Z623 to meet high performance standards for frequency response, distortion, power output, noise, and overall performance, including more than 400 electrical and acoustic bench tests to confirm the system can handle a full range of high-quality applications. The satellite speakers are designed to bring clear dialog and ambient sound to users, while the subwoofer brings rich, powerful bass, whether from music or events in a game or movie.
The Z623 retail price would be $134.99.

This speaker look is cutting-edge with a modern industrial design aesthetic, elegant black accents and a luminescent white LED glow.
